Cypress Glen Retirement Community is part of the United Methodist Retirement Homes Inc. family, with support from Life Care Services LLC. Cypress Glen is a life plan/continuing care retirement community situated on a sprawling 95-acre campus, conveniently located in the heart of Greenville and only minutes away from East Carolina University, Pitt Community College, Brody School of Medicine, and ECU Health Medical Center.
The community offers a variety of options for Independent Living with 149 apartments and 64 cottages and garden villas. Cypress Glen residents have access to a full continuum of care, including a health clinic, 30 beds in assisted living, 30 beds in skilled nursing, 12 rooms in the memory care cottage, as well as Independence Plus care services to support residents in their Independent Living homes. Current plans for growth include construction of a new IL apartment building, new auditorium, and additional dining venue, as well as major renovations and additions in the Cypress Glen health care areas, kitchen, and commons areas.
The community provides a wealth of educational, cultural, social, and spiritual activities and residents enjoy a retirement lifestyle as active as they choose. The Wellness Center is comprised of a beautiful, heated saltwater swimming pool, a cardio exercise weight room, aerobics room, Tai Chi court, beauty/barber salon, and massage therapy. The walking path around the community has a mediation garden area, as well as exercise stations for more active workouts.
The recently renovated Stewart Café grill and Four Seasons Room offer variety at mealtimes in addition to those enjoyed in The Dining Room. A wonderful, modern gathering space was added adjacent to the Four Seasons Room and is perfect for socializing, casual dining, or watching sporting events, and features a resident pub, Fred¿s Oasis. Other resident amenities and services include transportation to shopping, off-campus dining and activities, and scheduled medical appointments, weekly housekeeping, and maintenance tasks so residents have time with family, friends, and leisure activities.
